1. About these terms
These Terms and Conditions form an agreement between you and Connect Mobile when you access our website, browse devices, submit information or use a service we make available. In these terms, ‘you’ means the customer or website user, while ‘Connect Mobile’, ‘we’, ‘us’ and ‘our’ refer to the Connect Mobile service.
Connect Mobile offers or facilitates devices through purchase plans. This means you receive a device after paying the required deposit and pay the balance in agreed instalments, with ownership passing in accordance with the final purchase agreement.
2. Eligibility and customer information
You must have legal capacity to enter the relevant transaction and satisfy the eligibility and verification requirements communicated during an application. Age, identification, affordability, residency and other requirements may vary by plan and applicable law.
- Provide information that is truthful, accurate, current and complete.
- Do not impersonate another person or submit documents you are not entitled to use.
- Promptly update changes to your name, telephone number, address or other important account information.
- Cooperate with lawful identity, fraud-prevention and affordability checks.
3. Devices, deposits and estimates
Device descriptions, images, availability, minimum deposits and instalment illustrations are provided to help you compare options. They may be supplied by merchants or manufacturers and may change before an order is confirmed.
Amounts displayed on this website are indicative only. Your final deposit, instalment schedule, charges, total purchase amount and other terms will be stated in the agreement presented after assessment. Review that agreement carefully before accepting it.
4. Applications and approval
Submitting an application does not guarantee approval or reserve a device. Applications may be approved, declined, referred for additional checks or offered on different terms, subject to affordability, stock and the applicable purchase-plan criteria.
Where permitted, you authorize relevant identity, fraud and affordability checks needed to assess or administer your application. Additional consent will be requested where the law requires it.
5. Electronic records and communications
You agree that applications, disclosures, notices, consents and agreements may be provided or accepted electronically. An electronic acceptance may have the same effect as a handwritten signature where permitted by law.
Notices may be sent through the website, an application, SMS, WhatsApp, email or another contact method you provide. Keep your contact details current and retain copies of important disclosures.
6. Your payment obligations
Once your purchase application is approved and accepted, you must pay the deposit, instalments, charges and any other agreed amounts when due. The final purchase agreement—not an estimate on this website—sets the binding payment obligations, early-payment rights, consequences of late payment and available remedies.
- Check the amount and payment reference before making a payment.
- Use only payment channels identified as official.
- Contact support promptly if a payment is missing or you expect difficulty paying.
- Do not use the device, account or service for unlawful or fraudulent activity.
7. Device management
A device supplied through a purchase plan may include lawful security or device-management technology if this is clearly disclosed in the agreement. Depending on the agreed plan, missed instalments may result in limited device functionality until arrears are resolved.
Where device management applies, technical identifiers such as IMEI, serial number, SIM information and management status may be processed to register, secure, manage and release the device. Connect Mobile and its authorized providers will apply reasonable safeguards and should not use device-management tools to access unrelated personal content.
Security, firmware or management updates may be applied where reasonably necessary. We will seek to minimize disruption and provide notice where practical, except when an urgent security or compliance issue requires prompt action. You must not tamper with or circumvent agreed device-management controls.
8. Verification and service providers
Where lawful and relevant to an application, information may be obtained from or shared with authorized identity-verification providers, payment providers, merchants, device-management providers, collection agents, credit reference bureaus or regulators. Such activity must follow applicable law, the Privacy Policy and any notices provided during your application.
9. Missed instalments, recovery and complaints
The final purchase agreement explains what constitutes default and the steps that may follow. These may include reminders, restriction of managed-device functionality, lawful recovery activity, permitted reporting or legal action. Any step must be proportionate, lawful and consistent with the agreement.
If you believe an amount, report or action is incorrect, contact us promptly through the Contact Us page. We will aim to investigate fairly and may require information that verifies your identity and the transaction.
10. Acceptable website use
You may use this website only for lawful personal or business purposes connected with our services. You must not attempt unauthorized access, introduce malicious code, scrape the service in a way that disrupts it, bypass security, interfere with other users or misuse Connect Mobile's name and content.
11. Intellectual property and third-party services
Connect Mobile's branding, website design and original content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Device names, product images and third-party marks belong to their respective owners.
Links or integrations operated by third parties may be governed by separate terms. Connect Mobile is not responsible for a third party's independent service, but this does not limit any responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. Availability and liability
We take reasonable care to keep the website useful and secure, but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access. To the extent permitted by law, Connect Mobile is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising solely from use of, or inability to use, this informational website.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Kenyan law, or limits rights you have under applicable consumer-protection, purchase or data-protection laws.
13. Suspension, termination and assignment
Access may be suspended or terminated where reasonably necessary to protect customers, prevent fraud, comply with law, respond to a serious breach or discontinue a service. Ending website access does not cancel amounts already due under a purchase agreement.
Rights or service responsibilities may be transferred to an authorized partner where permitted by law and the applicable agreement. You will be notified where required.
14. Changes, governing law and disputes
We may update these terms to reflect legal, operational or service changes. The effective version will be published here, and material changes will be communicated where required.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Please raise a complaint through the Contact Us page first so we can attempt a fair resolution. Nothing prevents either party from using any regulator, court or dispute-resolution process available under applicable law.
15. Contact
Questions, complaints and notices about these terms can be sent to support@connectmobile.co.ke or submitted through the Contact Us page. Official WhatsApp channel details will be published there once confirmed.
